Our History

Merrill’s passion for packaging extends back over forty years. In 1973, we purchased a corrugated manufacturer in Massachusetts, and in 1985, Merrill acquired our current 82,000 square foot facility just North of Hartford, Connecticut. A few years later, to accommodate our growing business, we expanded our facility to include not only modern office space, but also an additional warehouse capable of handling our customers’ inventory programs.

Since Merrill started doing business, we have built our industry reputation using an agile approach, innovative design and a “whatever it takes” philosophy to customer service. When innovative design, or a “white board approach” is required, our in-house design team utilizes the latest in CAD technology to not only create new designs, but also to provide our customers with samples for form, fit and function.

We believe that the key to our successful business model is Merrill’s unique ability to efficiently manage short order runs for our customers, and to offer on time delivery with our fleet of Merrill trucks.
